48-Hour Rush: A C8 Battery Tender, a Motorcycle Battery Tender, and a 2025 CR-V Tow Hitch
The phone rang at 2:47 on a Wednesday afternoon. That's a detail you remember, because the 40 hours that followed turned into one of the most tightly packed rush installs I've coordinated.
In my role coordinating vehicle accessory installs, I've handled 200+ rush jobs over eight years. Most follow a pattern. This one didn't.
A regular customer was leaving Friday morning for a four-day trip. His list touched four vehicles:

The Battery Tenders Weren't the Hard Part

People mix up chargers and tenders all the time. A charger pushes high amperage to restore a dead battery. A tender is a maintainer—it delivers a low, steady current to keep a healthy battery full. The distinction matters. For a C8 that often sits a few weeks at a time, a 40-amp boost isn't the answer. You want something smart enough to know when to stop.

Then came the warranty question, as it always does. A properly installed cat-back doesn't void a vehicle warranty on its own. What it can do is affect coverage on the parts it replaces or touches. Friday morning, the family pulled out: Silverado's V8 humming, CR-V towing its trailer with the box on top, and the C8 parked in the garage on its tender.
The best part of that kind of job is the payoff. After the stress and coordination, seeing it delivered on time and correct is why I do this work.
